The LINE Optic 96 skis deliver a powerful all-mountain and freeride experience with a 96 mm waist, Aspen veneer wood core, Titanal metal lamination, and Early Rise rocker profile — designed to carve corduroy, handle chop and crud, and still float in softer snow.

LINE Optic 96 2026 All-Mountain / Freeride Skis The Optic 96 takes the best of carving, all-mountain, and freeride ski design — offering a versatile, confident ride from groomers to mixed snow and variable terrain. With a 96 mm waist (shape 129-96-119 mm) and directional flex, these skis strike a balance between edge-to-edge agility and surface area for stability and float when snow softens. The Early Rise™ rocker in tip and tail helps the skis initiate turns easily, float in softer snow, and stay playful when conditions vary. Underfoot the Aspen veneer wood core gives a snappy, lively flex while remaining stable and responsive across speeds.

Key Features:

Waist Width:

96 mm — versatile “mid-fat” width for carving, all-mountain, and freeride versatility. Shape /

Dimensions:

129-96-119 mm — balanced geometry supporting a range of turn shapes and conditions.

Core:

Aspen Veneer — lightweight yet energetic wood core for lively flex and responsive feel. Metal Lamination: Titanal Gas Pedal Metal Overdrive™ — metal reinforcement adding torsional stiffness, edge grip, and stability without sacrificing liveliness or responsiveness. Profile / Rocker Type: Early Rise™ Rocker with tip & tail lift, camber underfoot — promotes easier turn initiation, good edge hold on hardpack, and better float or maneuverability in soft, chopped, or mixed snow. Sidecut / Geometry: 5CUT™ Multi-Radius Sidecut — blends multiple radii for intuitive feel and a wide variety of turn shapes, from tight turns to long arcs. Base &

Edges:

Fatty™ Base & Edge — thicker, reinforced base and edge for durability, longer tuning life, and reliable glide in mixed snow conditions. Flex Pattern: Directional flex — softer tip for easy turn initiation and stiffer tail for power, stability, and control at high speed or on hard snow. Performance & Feel: On groomed runs the Optic 96 holds an edge confidently thanks to its metal lamination and solid camber underfoot. It carves smoothly and allows for stable high-speed arcs while remaining responsive. In mixed terrain, crud, chopped snow, or variable conditions, the Early Rise rocker combined with the 96 mm waist provides enough float and maneuverability to maintain control and smooth transitions. When snow softens or turns slushy, the ski stays versatile and forgiving — a balance of stability and playfulness that makes it a true all-mountain freeride tool. Its lively feel and adaptive flex make it good for dynamic skiing, tight turns, or more relaxed cruising depending on style and snow condition.

Ideal For:

Intermediate to expert skiers who want a “one-ski quiver” capable of handling groomers, all-mountain runs, chopped snow, mixed terrain, and light powder — without needing to switch skis. Also a great fit for riders who value versatility, edge hold, and stable high-speed control but still want a responsive, lively ski that adapts across conditions.

Things to Consider:

Though the Optic 96 excels in versatility, its 96 mm waist and rocker-camber profile means it is not a dedicated deep-powder ski. In very deep, unconsolidated snow or extreme big-mountain terrain, a wider, more powder-specific ski may perform better. Also, while the metal lamination provides stability, skiers looking for ultra-lightweight park or strictly freestyle skis may find the Optic 96 heavier and less nimble compared to lighter twin-tip freestyle models.
